Alice Bélanger is a senior game designer at Electronic Arts, currently contributing gameplay features to the Skate. franchise. Her design approach centers on clarity, simplicity, and player agency—grounded in the KISS principle and driven by a commitment to inclusive and accessible design for all players.
Before joining EA, Alice made her mark at Ubisoft, shaping key gameplay systems for major franchises like Assassin’s Creed and For Honor. Her specialties included controls, camera systems, character movesets & progression systems. That foundation gave her a deep understanding of how technical design creates intuitive, satisfying play.
With a background in theater production, Alice brings a keen sense of pacing, rhythm, and emotional immersion to her work. She champions LGBTQ+ representation in games and takes an active role in fostering new talent—frequently judging game jams and design competitions to support emerging voices in the industry.
Outside of game dev, Alice is a hockey player, avid photographer, and passionate home cook—carrying forward the creativity and precision she honed during her time as a professional chef. Her favorite game genres? platformers, adventure, and action—the ones that spark wonder and reward curiosity.
